Synopsis

In feudal Japan, Manji carries the grim title of the "Hundred Man Killer" for having slain a hundred innocents, and he bears a darker burden: a literal immortality granted by eight-hundred-year-old nun Yaobikuni, who implanted regenerative bloodworms in his body. Driven by remorse, Manji vows to atone by eliminating one thousand wicked men; Yaobikuni promises to lift his immortality if he completes that task. Not long after making this pact, Manji encounters sixteen-year-old Rin Asano, who seeks his help to avenge her parents' murderers. Though he initially declines, Manji reverses his decision when he sees Rin's vulnerability and commits to shielding her for four years. Together they set out on a brutal, dangerous journey marked by violence, revenge, and the search for redemption, each pursuing their own imperative while bound by the agreement that shapes their fate.
