Synopsis

Lafiel is named Territorial Ambassador for Lobnas II after the Bebaus brothers’ fleet advances and leaves few representatives. Arriving at the planet with Jinto, she finds that United Mankind once used it as a prison colony; a single populated island holds about a million inmates divided into three sectors: a western zone for women, an eastern zone for men, and a central mixed zone where inhabitants have been sterilized. Tension rises when the women seek to leave the island to escape life under the men’s control. Their attempt to emigrate sparks a rebellion among the men in the eastern sector, who topple the guards and seize Jinto to prevent the women’s departure. Amid the internal crisis, an enemy fleet approaches the system, compelling Lafiel to evacuate and abandon Jinto.
