Synopsis

In their final year of middle school the five members of CRYCHIC split after a bitter breakup, each carrying personal remorse and enrolling in separate high schools to avoid one another. Midway through the school year, Anon Chihaya arrives at Haneoka Girls' Academy and, wanting to belong, begins recruiting classmates to start her own band with herself as vocalist. She connects with Tomori Takamatsu, a reserved student who shows interest but hesitates; Tomori’s reluctance stems from her past involvement in CRYCHIC, which left lasting emotional wounds. Via Tomori, Anon encounters former bandmates Taki Shiina and Soyo Nagasaki. Taki is opposed to the idea of performing with Anon, while Soyo willingly supports her efforts. With Soyo’s help, Anon edges closer to realizing a band, but she still needs more members, and the tangled history between these girls looms over their attempts to move forward.
