Synopsis

Myne discovers the Church requires mana to maintain its relics and views this need as an opportunity to treat her dangerous mana condition. After admiring the Church's extensive library, she eagerly offers her service and abundant mana, and is appointed to wear the distinctive blue robes reserved for noble apprentices despite her common birth. Her primary motivation is access to books, yet entering the Church exposes her to the rigid, often ruthless realities of noble society. She confronts entrenched class divisions between noble-born blue-robed clerics and common-born grey-robed attendants, faces the High Priest's moves to remove her, and must manage difficult behavior from newly assigned retainers. Supported by family, friends, and a mysterious Head Priest whose true intentions are unclear, Myne strives to overcome these social and political obstacles and continue toward her goal of becoming the ideal librarian.
