Synopsis

Kohane Hatoya is deeply motivated by a desire to assist others, a trait that often leads her to go to great lengths. After witnessing cheerleading for the first time in middle school, she becomes determined to establish her own high school cheer team. Still as earnest as before, Kohane pursues this goal with encouragement from her close friend Uki Sawatari, who frequently helps her out of difficult situations. Kohane faces significant obstacles: she lacks any cheerleading background, is unfamiliar with the skills, attire, and routines the sport requires, and has been afraid of heights since childhood—an issue given the aerial stunts involved. Hizume Arima, a former cheerleader intending to move on from the activity, appears in Kohane’s life; Kohane recognizes her and resolves to recruit her so the new squad can take shape, even if it means confronting her deepest fear.
