Synopsis

As ACCA prepares to mark its first year, Jean Otus is dispatched to oversee festival readiness across the Kingdom of Dowa on behalf of the inspection division. Tasked with ensuring each district is ready, he travels while managing a growing divide with his subordinate Parrot, who remains convinced that betrayal against the kingdom is imminent despite the apparent peace. Jean’s responsibilities also limit the time he can spend with his younger sister, Lotta, who is dealing with a private difficulty she has not yet disclosed. Their mutual friend Niino steps in to offer support to Lotta. Although Jean is confident there is no immediate threat to Dowa, he faces the twin challenges of assuaging Parrot’s mistrust before the celebration and allowing Lotta the space to reveal her situation when she is ready.
