Synopsis

The Daihasei Festival is underway and Tokiwadai Middle School, an elite girls' institution, takes part in the events. Even with Mikoto Misaka—revered as Tokiwadai’s top student—competing, her classmates continue to give everything they have, determined to challenge her despite the disparity in power. The festival’s opening also allows outsiders access to Academy City, prompting various groups to seek entry and exploit the situation. Misaka becomes a focal point for those watching from the fringes, and as festivities continue, clandestine figures and plots begin to surface. This installment follows Misaka and her companions as they confront the darker elements of Academy City, from terrorist incidents to secretive, ruthless schemes unfolding beneath the surface.
