Synopsis

Konoha Akisato, who has long admired bishoujo games and hopes to become a celebrated illustrator, lands her first role as a sub-illustrator at Blue Bell only to find the contemporary industry flooded with careless, uninspired games. While visiting a retro game shop and recalling the stronger titles of earlier years, she is unexpectedly transported back to 1992, the period when the bishoujo game scene began to take shape. Initially unsettled, Konoha accepts work with Alcohol Soft, a modest studio that hires her as an artist. Confident that her knowledge and techniques from the future will give her an edge, she soon discovers that the tools and artistic practices of the era are more primitive than expected. Faced with older technology and traditional workflows, Konoha must quickly adjust her approach to illustration if she hopes to realize her ambitions in this formative moment for the genre.
