Synopsis
After the Inter-high tournament ends and summer nears its close, Sakamichi intensifies his training alongside Imaizumi Shunsuke and Naruko Shoukichi to uphold Team Sohoku’s tradition of mutual support entrusted to him by third-year members Kinjou Shingo, Makishima Yusuke, and Tadokoro Jin, who will soon graduate. The team later receives an invitation to the Kumamoto Fire Country Mountain Race, a selective event for squads that earned strong results at the Inter-high, and Captain Kinjou elects to send the core group that competed there.
