Synopsis

In a world fading toward its end, an old myth endures: at the close of days a passage to a blissful realm will be revealed. That sanctuary is believed to be the only hope for the planet’s remaining life, yet the tale insists only wolves can locate the way. Though presumed gone, wolves continue living among humans, masking their true nature with complex illusions. One such lone wolf, Kiba, is led by a compelling fragrance to Freeze City, a poor settlement dominated by the ruthless Lord Orkham. There he encounters other wolves — Hige, Tsume, and Toboe — who have been pulled by the same scent. Drawn by the aroma of the so-called “Lunar Flowers,” rumored to unlock the path to their ideal world, the group embarks on a trek through barren wilderness and ruined urban stretches in search of the legendary haven. Their quest is threatened by others who pursue the same goal with darker aims and will stop at nothing to claim the passage first.
