Synopsis

Shizuku Tsukishima, a lively fourteen-year-old who spends spare moments composing and reading poetry, notices a recurring name on library checkout cards: Seiji Amasawa. Intrigued by the boy who borrows the same books, she sets out to find him. An odd cat encountered on a train leads Shizuku to a small antique establishment, where she discovers a feline figurine called The Baron and unexpectedly runs into Seiji. The two form a quick friendship; through their growing bond Shizuku learns that Seiji has a clear ambition he intends to follow. Confronted with her own uncertainty about the future and unsure of her abilities, she is nonetheless inspired by her connection to Seiji and the symbolic presence of The Baron. Motivated by these influences and the stirrings of her own heart, Shizuku begins to pursue a personal goal and explore her potential.
