Synopsis

A bored high school girl, Haru Yoshioka, interrupts the routine of her days by saving Prince Lune of the Cat Kingdom from a traffic accident. The Cat King repays her with various gifts and extends an invitation for Haru to come to the Cat Kingdom and become Lune’s wife. Miscommunication between Haru and the cats leads them to assume she accepted the offer. While Haru searches for a way out, an enigmatic voice directs her to the Cat Bureau. Shortly after she reaches it, a swarm of cats seizes her and escorts her into the Cat Kingdom, taking along a Cat Bureau official. Baron Humbert von Gikkingen, who oversees the bureau, trails them out of concern. As Haru participates in life among the cats, she begins to take on feline traits and faces the risk of losing her human identity if she cannot rediscover who she truly is. Her journey through the Cat Kingdom becomes a process of self-examination that ultimately helps her return with increased self-assurance.
