Synopsis

During a regular meeting of the Literature Club, four members plus their faculty adviser’s niece unexpectedly acquire supernatural abilities. Jurai Andou, a resident chuunibyou, celebrates the change most loudly, able to conjure black flames that serve mainly as dramatic flair rather than practical power. He finds himself eclipsed by his peers: Tomoyo Kanzaki can manipulate time, Hatoko Kushikawa controls the five classical elements, Sayumi Takanashi—the club president—has the ability to mend both objects and living things, and Chifuyu Himeki, the adviser’s niece, can produce items from nothing. Despite the unresolved question of why these abilities appeared, the club’s routine remains largely intact. The five students carry on with their everyday interactions and responsibilities, now subtly influenced by the presence of their supernatural gifts.
