Synopsis

Kazuhiro Kitase has possessed since childhood the ability to enter an alternate reality through sleep, returning to his original life when he wakes or dies, and resuming the other world upon falling asleep again. Over time he has explored that realm alongside Mariabelle, an elf affiliated with the Sorcery Guild. During one expedition they disturb a dragon tending its clutch and are incinerated; Kazuhiro simply awakens back in reality, but to his surprise Mariabelle lies beside him in peaceful slumber. He comes to understand that the dream realm is a distinct parallel existence rather than mere imagination. Embracing the strange consequence, Kazuhiro shows Mariabelle the modern world of Japan, and their relationship and adventures expand as they move between the two coexisting worlds.
