Synopsis

As an infant, Lum was the target of a spiteful curse from a witch who was excluded from her naming celebration; the charm ensures she can never find contentment with her destined lover. Years later, Tomobiki opens a new amusement park and the friends visit on opening day. During a stage illusion, Ataru is transformed into an enormous pink hippopotamus for real. Lum sets out to locate the conjurer responsible for her beloved's sudden change, and the search quickly leads to increasingly strange and unsettling developments while avoiding revelations that would spoil the unfolding story.
