Synopsis

When all of Tomobiki receives invitations to Ataru's wedding, Lum reacts violently upon discovering she is not the intended bride. Years earlier, Ataru won a game called Shadow Tag against a girl named Elle, who turns out to be an alien princess whose planet enforces marriage if a boy steps on a girl's shadow. An envoy from Elle arrives to formalize the arrangement, but Lum's attempts to stop the proceedings are thwarted by a protective force field shielding Ataru from her electric attacks. Encouraged by her friend Benten, Lum resorts to abducting Ataru along with the assembled wedding guests to force an immediate marriage, setting the scene for a chaotic, high-energy attempt to prevent the official ceremony.
