Synopsis

Takemichi Hanagaki once enjoyed his second year of middle school: respect, loyal friends, and a girlfriend. Twelve years later he is a marginalized adult, ridiculed by others and diminished in status. Learning that the Tokyo Manji Gang was responsible for the deaths of his former girlfriend and her brother compounds his despair. When he is about to die under a train, Takemichi is suddenly transported back to the same day from his past, while still retaining knowledge of the intervening years. After an encounter with Hinata Tachibana’s younger brother in the present leads him to reveal details of a seeming fatality, he is thrown back to the past again and warns the brother to protect Hinata. Returning to the altered present, Takemichi discovers that events have shifted, suggesting he can change history. Confronted with the opportunity to prevent the tragedy caused by the Tokyo Manji Gang, he resolves to travel through time in an attempt to reshape the future and save the person he once loved.
