Synopsis

Haunted by his past and the part of himself he once rejected, Ken Kaneki ultimately accepts the ghoul nature within him. After breaking free from imprisonment and torture, he aligns with Aogiri Tree, the militant ghoul faction responsible for his capture, prompting doubt and concern among his former allies about his intentions and allegiance. Meanwhile, conflict between the state and ghouls intensifies as the Commission of Counter Ghoul steps up operations aimed at eradicating ghouls from Tokyo. This rising violence endangers the fragile safety of Kaneki’s friends at the Anteiku coffee shop, and Kaneki finds himself drawn into confrontations that force him to confront how much of his remaining humanity he can retain.
