Synopsis

Nene Yashiro’s routine is constantly disrupted by supernatural incidents and a demanding school schedule. She looks forward to Kamome Academy’s yearly sleepover as a rare chance to relax with her close friend Aoi Akane and classmates. The event, however, coincides with Urabon, a night when the boundary between living and dead becomes unstable and malevolent spirits emerge. When a hostile spirit targets Nene, a mysterious entity known as Shinigami—an enigmatic figure capable of ensnaring souls with a flute—intervenes. Shinigami soon notices Aoi and abducts her, intending to use her as a sacrificial means to seal the breach between worlds. To save her friend, Nene teams up with Hanako-kun and Akane Aoi and ventures into the deepest reaches of the afterlife, racing against time to recover Aoi before the ritual can be completed.
