Remy Shimoda rushes to a reunion with her Go Shogun teammates but is delayed by a police skirmish with robbers; after driving the assailants off the road, she becomes involved in a crash. The narrative divides into two parallel threads: one follows Remy’s gradual deterioration in a hospital while allies and former foes gather at her side, and the other tracks her presence in an uncanny city where she and her teammates learn their demises have been predicted. Remy endures persistent visions of her own death and unsettling visitations from a menacing girl accompanied by a panther-like cat. At the heart of the city stands a temple that appears to hold the answers, prompting the team to fight their way toward it.
