Synopsis

In a near-future Japan where household androids are common and governed by strict robotic laws, androids are regarded and handled like ordinary appliances under societal and regulatory norms. A small subgroup of people who deeply appreciate androids, labeled as "android-holics," face social rejection. Rikuo Sakisaka, who has been taught to view androids as non-human, finds his assumptions challenged when he uncovers an unusual entry hidden in the activity records of his domestic android, Sammy. His discovery draws him to Eve no Jikan, a café that operates under a single principle: patrons must not make any distinction between humans and androids. Motivated by curiosity, Rikuo seeks to understand the cafe’s purpose and to uncover what prompted Sammy’s unexpected conduct.
