Synopsis

Keima Katsuragi, renowned for his unmatched skill with dating simulations, is compelled by a pact with the demon Elsie to free young women whose hearts have become hosts to escaped spirits. Reluctant to leave his preferred virtual realm, he applies his gaming-derived strategies to real interpersonal situations, attempting to dislodge the phantom influences by winning genuine emotional trust. His assignments range from confronting a karate enthusiast and guiding a student teacher to dealing with complications introduced by Elsie’s companion from the underworld. Though resistant to three-dimensional romance, Keima must navigate awkward, surprising, and testing encounters as he persists in this reluctant mission to restore the affected girls to themselves.
