Synopsis
After overcoming Shitenhouji in the semifinals, Ryouma Echizen and the Seishun Academy boys' tennis squad advance to confront Rikkai University-Affiliated Middle School, the two-time defending national champions, for the title. Rikkai arrives driven both by a desire to avenge a prior defeat to Seishun at the Kanto regional competition and by the goal of securing a third straight national championship. In the series' finale, the Prince of Tennis meets the figure known as the Child of God in a decisive one-on-one match for the national crown. Throughout the championship, Ryouma's journey involves more than pursuing victory: he seeks to impart to opponents and teammates alike an understanding that tennis encompasses values and lessons beyond simply winning.
