Synopsis

Defeated by Heaven's angelic forces, demons face imminent ruin and dispatch Akutsu Masatora to Earth as a final gambit. Assuming the guise of a high school student, Akutsu's mission is to find and enlist someone capable of guiding the demonic forces to victory. He quickly identifies Lily Amane, a graceful transfer pupil who appears to fit the role he needs. However, Lily is secretly one of the angels responsible for the demons' plight, turning Akutsu's plan into a perilous miscalculation. As he navigates his duty to his homeland and the realities of living among humans, Akutsu confronts the possibility that his mission could force him into conflict with someone he grows to care for, blurring the lines between enemy and protector while the war's outcome hangs in the balance.
