Synopsis

Nijuu Mensou is publicly famed for precise thefts and sending advance notices to his targets. He avoids killing and directs his crimes at those he deems deserving. One operation leads him to the Mikamo household, where eleven-year-old Chizuko “Chiko” lives with her aunt Yoshie and uncle Shouji after her parents’ deaths. Although Chiko stands to inherit a large fortune, her domestic life is troubled and she longs to leave. During the heist, Nijuu Mensou takes the Mikamos’ treasured gemstone and unexpectedly takes Chiko with him. Chiko quickly embraces life with the thief’s group, learning their techniques and forming close bonds, finding the affectionate family she had lacked. Simultaneously, her association as Nijuu Mensou’s adopted daughter brings her growing public attention and complications.
