Synopsis

In 2047, the United States struggles under the threat of D2s, hostile lifeforms that arrived via a black meteorite and react violently to music. A nationwide ban on playing melodies remains enforced to limit D2 attacks. Humanity's response relies on Musicarts—young women who embody classical compositions—and the Conductors who guide them. Takt Asahina, a distant piano prodigy, becomes a Conductor after surviving a sudden D2 assault that also claims the life of Cosette, the younger sister of Anna Schneider. Takt forges a pact with his Musicart, Destiny, and together with Anna they set out for Symphonica Headquarters in New York City seeking a way to stabilize their connection. Takt urgently wants to return to playing piano despite the risk of attracting D2s, while Destiny's commitment to duty repeatedly complicates their progress. Facing D2-infested territory and numerous dangers, the trio must press onward toward the city and the uncertain prospects that await them there.
