Synopsis

Ichinomiya Kantarou possesses the rare sight to perceive demons, a trait that isolated him and invited mistreatment from those who could not see them. Rather than resent the supernatural, he formed bonds with the yokai he encountered and developed a deep regard for their presence. Hearing rumors of the most formidable of demons, a creature famed as the ogre-eating Tengu, Kantarou became determined to locate this being and, in time, decided to name it Haruka should he find it. He spent years traveling in search of the Tengu, supporting himself as a writer of folklore and as a demon-buster. During a recent assignment, Kantarou encountered reports pointing to a nearby shrine believed to be the site where the ogre-eating Tengu has been confined, offering the first concrete lead in his long quest.
