Synopsis

After the arrival of an advanced full-dive device, gamers can enter an intensely realistic virtual medieval realm called Aincrad. Sword Art Online, a new title for that platform, immerses users in a vast fantasy setting where in-game actions feel entirely real. The situation turns dire when the game's developer prevents anyone from logging out, forcing thousands of participants to confront a brutal rule: dying inside the simulation causes death in the real world. The sole path to freedom is to conquer all one hundred progressively harder floors of Aincrad. Kirito, a player with prior beta experience, faces the ordeal alongside Asuna and other capable companions. Together they strive to overcome lethal encounters, powerful bosses, and hostile factions that stand between them and escape.
