Synopsis

Wang Xiaoxiu has long loved his childhood companion Shen Yao, and now that they attend the same college he discovers Yao returns those feelings. Their relationship quickly becomes the subject of campus gossip, provoking jealousy from Sun Jun and his delinquent followers who attempt to claim Yao for themselves. During a confrontation, Xiaoxiu is beaten unconscious and cast into a river. Awakening beneath the water, he is drawn to a luminous object that fuses with him and transports him to another realm. An unfamiliar presence identifies itself as the Horadric Cube and proclaims Xiaoxiu its new host. The bond grants him the ability to teleport and enhances his combat aptitude. To increase the Cube’s power, Xiaoxiu must locate and have it absorb specific gemstones, a task he accepts in order to defend himself and his loved ones from emerging threats.
