Synopsis

Mayuri Shiina brings a cognitive computing device to the Future Gadget Lab, presented through a large pink Oopa toy she uses as its interface. Though the kitchen lacks the right ingredients, the system guides Mayuri and Kurisu Makise through preparing fried chicken to suit their friends’ tastes, causing concern for Rintarou Okabe and Itaru "Daru" Hashida. In subsequent episodes, the Oopa-enabled cognitive computer becomes a practical companion for the group: mediating between Okabe and Kurisu after a disagreement, gathering feedback from lab members to recommend lab improvements, and generally assisting with routine problems.
