Synopsis

After school, first-year high schooler Yomogi Asanaka finds a starving drifter named Gauma who claims to be a kaiju user—someone who handles the monstrous beings that menace the city. The next evening, Yomogi encounters Gauma and classmate Yume Minami just as a kaiju appears in a populated area. Gauma, inexperienced in controlling these creatures, produces a mysterious object from a glowing pouch that summons Dynazenon, a towering robot. The mecha requires four operators and pulls Gauma, Yomogi, Minami, and Koyomi Yamanaka—an unemployed man loitering nearby—into its cockpit. Their confrontation with the kaiju draws them into conflict with kaiju eugenicists, antagonists who manipulate kaiju for harmful purposes, and sets them on a path to learn how to unlock Dynazenon’s full capabilities while confronting the dangers posed to the city.
