Synopsis

Operation Strix proceeds despite obstacles as Loid Forger keeps up a fabricated household to gather intelligence on the mysterious politician Donovan Desmond. The household includes Anya, a child who can read minds; Yor, who works as an assassin; and Bond, a dog with precognitive ability. Anya alone grasps the true roles each member plays and strives to hold the family together while attempting to befriend Damian, Donovan’s son and her classmate at Eden Academy. Her attempts backfire, resulting in disciplinary trouble that threatens her enrollment and the mission’s stability. Upon learning of this setback, Loid loses consciousness and reflects on the painful experiences that shaped him and his path into espionage. Confronted with what the operation represents for global stakes, he regains determination. Though each member pursues concealed objectives, the Forgers continue to value their tumultuous but affectionate domestic life.
