Synopsis

Kumiko Oumae, who stopped playing after a traumatic middle school regional concert band incident, begins high school seeking a clean break. Unexpectedly, she finds herself amid peers interested in the school’s brass band. Surrounded by both new and familiar faces—novice tubist Hazuki Katou, experienced contrabassist Sapphire Kawashima, fellow euphonist and vice president Asuka Tanaka, childhood friend-turned-trombonist Shuuichi Tsukamoto, and trumpeter Reina Kousaka—Kumiko gradually rediscovers her drive to play. The ensemble as a whole is disordered and faces significant obstacles; although the group aspires to reach the national band competition, merely performing at the local festival proves difficult. Much depends on whether the newly appointed band advisor, Noboru Taki, can bring order and guidance to the struggling students.
