Synopsis

Yumi Ikoma and Ryou Masaoka are selected as child pilots for an ultra-secret operation: to operate the inaugural Fafner combat units, humanity’s final hope. Their adversary shows no mercy and can intrusively access human thoughts, so the mission’s specifics remain concealed even from those taking part. Isolated by secrecy, the young pilots must rely on courage and mutual trust to endure the ordeal and carry out their duties, because failure would endanger the survival of humankind.
