Synopsis

In the virtual reality title Shangri-La Frontier, Rakurou "Sunraku" Hizutome becomes deeply invested in the game and gains renown by confronting two of its nearly invincible monsters. Determined to move the narrative forward, he embarks on a quest with his leporine guide Emul to retrieve a magical operation unit from an ancient workshop. Sunraku completes this mission with the aid of his clanmates Towa "Arthur Pencilgon" Amane and Kei "OiKatzo" Uomi, though their reasons for assisting may not be entirely straightforward. Along the way he acquires knowledge and companions that are important to his progress. By hunting powerful adversaries and probing the mechanics of Shangri-La Frontier’s world, Sunraku’s actions have the potential to reshape the game’s future.
