Synopsis

Rakurou Hizutome, a high school student known online as Sunraku, prefers playing poorly designed or bug-ridden games. Advised to try Shangri-La Frontier as a change of pace, he starts the virtual reality title and intentionally disposes of most starter equipment, keeping only minimal clothing, a bird mask, and a few weapons. Immersed in the game, he methodically raises his avatar’s level but soon confronts formidable monsters that reveal the greater difficulty of a mainstream release. Drawing on techniques honed from his unusual hobby, Rakurou adapts his eccentric approach to gameplay, and his distinctive methods begin to make a significant impact within Shangri-La Frontier.
