Synopsis

In a Tokyo where criminals enhance their abilities through ether augmentation, specialized bounty hunters known as Braves combat these powerful "Dark Lords." Yashiro, a Brave who considers himself top-tier, faces financial difficulties. His path crosses with Aki Jougamine, a student from Shibuya's Brave Academy, whom he assists. Impressed by his capabilities, Aki persuades Yashiro to rescue her friend and fellow student, Saera Kashiwagi Pendragon, from a Dark Lord's grasp. Following this mission, Aki, Saera, and their friend Yukine Indou express a strong desire to apprentice under Yashiro. Despite his efforts to highlight the inherent perils of bounty hunting, the trio remains convinced that Yashiro is essential for their development into accomplished Braves. Reluctantly, he accepts them. As they face various threats, Yashiro consistently attempts to demonstrate that the students are ill-suited for such a profession, yet they may ultimately demonstrate their competence.
