Synopsis

Mei, Aiko, Asami, and Nagi bake cookies at Mei’s home while Nagi sends Yamato away to pass the time. Yamato gets a message from Kai asking to meet at the local, worn park, the place where they first connected. Their exchange moves from light teasing to a sincere discussion: Kai questions why Yamato, who appears lively among many peers, is always first to arrive at the park after school. Yamato reveals he once felt like he had no fixed identity, adapting to others rather than being himself. Kai admits he used to resent the town but came to appreciate it because of Yamato, and he assures Yamato that he is genuine on his own. Yamato confesses that meeting Mei made him aware of his prior loneliness. Kai later encounters Megumi at a bus stop and compliments her authenticity in balancing modeling with her true self; Megumi responds sharply, prompting Kai to walk away offended. When Momo arrives, Megumi regrets her reaction and is flustered when Momo teases that she may have feelings for Kai. Back at Mei’s, the cookies are successfully finished and enjoyed; Mei’s mother gently urges Mei and Yamato to leave. Outside, Yamato embraces Mei, expresses his gratitude for her presence in his life, and they watch the sunset together before resuming their walk hand in hand.
