Synopsis

Mei Tachibana has withdrawn from social life after being unjustly blamed for a childhood incident, leaving her distrustful and isolated. In high school a misunderstanding brings her into contact with Yamato Kurosawa, a well-liked student who is determined to befriend her despite her resistance. When Yamato intervenes during a threatening episode by kissing Mei to defuse a stalker’s attention, Mei experiences unexpected emotions that lead to mutual affection. As they begin a relationship, Mei gains companionship beyond a boyfriend but struggles to express her feelings and adjust to new social bonds. Facing miscommunications, jealousy from others, and their own uncertainties, Mei and Yamato gradually deepen their connection and come to understand the meaning of declaring love to one another.
