Synopsis

Remy, a warm and affectionate girl, grows up in a rural French town with her mother. When her father comes back after years working in the city, he reveals that she is not his biological child and nearly has her handed over to a cruel slave dealer. A wandering entertainer named Vitalis intervenes, saving Remy from that fate. Recognizing her natural singing ability, Vitalis brings her into his troupe and becomes instrumental in her new life among traveling performers.
