Synopsis

Yoshino Koharu, a fresh college graduate frustrated with life in the countryside, hopes to start anew in Tokyo. After failing to secure steady work, she accepts what she believes is a part-time position as the titular queen of a quirky, aging mini-attraction in the agricultural town of Manoyama. Upon arrival she learns the offer resulted from a case of mistaken identity—locals think she is a visiting celebrity. With few alternatives, Yoshino agrees to assume the role and join the town’s Board of Tourism. Working alongside longtime residents, she initiates community projects intended to draw attention to Manoyama’s scenery, customs, and everyday appeal. The series examines how a small community confronts necessary change while striving to preserve the traditions and interpersonal connections that shape its character.
