Synopsis

Subaru Natsuki is pulled from a routine trip to a convenience store into an unfamiliar fantasy world. Confused and alone, the teenager is soon ambushed by attackers and left severely injured, possessing nothing but a bag of groceries and a nonfunctioning phone. He is rescued by Satella, a mysterious woman chasing someone who stole her insignia. Grateful, Subaru joins her search and later locates the lost item, but an unseen and sinister presence strikes: both Subaru and Satella are killed shortly after. Subaru then awakens back at the moment he first left the store, confronted again by the same assailants and meeting Satella once more. He is forced to face the bewildering recurrence of events as he seeks to understand and break the deadly repetition.
