Synopsis

A 27-year-old man named Arata Kaizaki, dismissed by others and drifting between jobs after leaving his first employer, accepts an offer from Ryou Yoake of the ReLife Research Institute to alter his circumstances via an enigmatic pill. He awakens with the body of a 17-year-old and becomes part of an experimental program requiring him to enroll as a transfer high school student for one year. Convinced his adult experience will make the assignment easy, Arata is quickly confronted with unexpected challenges: he fails initial exams, lacks physical preparedness, and struggles to adapt to school rules that changed over the past decade. Ryou is assigned to monitor him, creating ongoing tension. The story follows Arata as he copes with the demands of his renewed daily life, strives not to repeat prior errors, and gradually uncovers more about the classmates around him.
