Synopsis

Hikari Tsutsui prefers the predictability of fictional worlds, retreating into games and anime while facing mockery and exclusion at school. His solitary routine is only occasionally shared with Yuuto Itou, a fellow outsider who adopts cat ears and matches Hikari’s passion for gaming. When a tardiness punishment sends Hikari to clean the pool, he encounters Iroha Igarashi—an outspoken, controversial classmate whose blunt behavior and troubled reputation make Hikari wary of any entanglement. Despite his attempts to avoid her, their interactions begin to unsettle his guarded emotional state. The story follows these two marginalized students as they confront social pressure and personal vulnerability: Hikari learning to confront unfamiliar feelings he has long suppressed, and Iroha trying to coax him out of his shell.
