Synopsis

Two centuries after the Empire of Light fell on the Battlefield of the Blue River, the Western River region remains fractured and lawless. With the empire’s final commanders gone and demonic forces having roared at the end of the old age, no single authority governs the land. Competing powers rose from the vacuum, war became the principal means of survival, and many leaders adopted the restoration of unity as their driving aim. In the southeastern reaches, House Zichuan—an influential clan with over two hundred years of history—holds a precarious position. Its warriors have repelled demon incursions from the east, held back the advances of House Liufeng to the west, and restrained the pressure of House Lin in the south. To secure their ambitions and ensure their lineage, generations of Zichuan fighters sacrificed themselves, building the house’s legacy through struggle and loss. This narrative follows that storied family across a century of sacrifice, conflict, and the heavy costs of pursuing a lasting future.
