Synopsis

Himeji Wakaba, a fifth-grade student, possesses the unique ability to perceive malevolent entities that remain unseen by others. These spirits frequently target individuals close to her, leading to Wakaba's isolation, a lack of friends, and a perpetually somber demeanor. Concerned by their daughter's solitary existence, her parents decide to permit her to keep the next creature she brings home. This decision results in Wakaba adopting Pupipo, a peculiar pink monster. While Pupipo's true nature is unknown, it effectively shields Wakaba from the harmful spirits she encounters. Additionally, Pupipo assists Wakaba in forming connections, including a friendship with an occult-enthusiast transfer student, and helps her resolve issues related to bullying. With Pupipo's presence, Wakaba's life undergoes a significant positive transformation.
