Synopsis

After Prince Edward, first in line to the throne, is assassinated, nobles gather in the Kingdom of Albion amid his funeral to debate who should inherit: Princess Mary, now second in line, or Prince Richard, the Duke of Arkham, third in line. The Duke of Arkham confronts Mary, pressing her to choose between his faction and that of the Duke of Normandy. Mary, committed to ideals of equality, finds herself unsettled once she learns that the Duke of Arkham engineered Edward’s death. Simultaneously, agents Ange and Dorothy are assigned by Commonwealth authorities to pose as Mary’s attendants to examine the royal family’s condition. Mary is overwhelmed by the burden and fatigue of suddenly being thrust forward in the succession. As confusion and power struggles intensify around the kingdom, the Duke of Arkham’s conspiracy begins to advance. Encroaching darkness within Albion increasingly threatens Team White Pigeon, drawing them deeper into the crisis surrounding the throne.
