Usagi Tsukino is a tearful, somewhat clumsy 14-year-old in junior high whose ordinary life shifts after she meets Luna, a speaking black cat with a crescent-shaped mark on her forehead. Luna gives Usagi a magical brooch that lets her transform into Sailor Moon, a sailor-uniformed magical girl charged with defending love and peace. As a chosen guardian of justice, Usagi must search for the Silver Crystal, a powerful relic, reunite with the other Sailor Guardians, and locate the missing princess of Luna’s former realm, the Moon Kingdom. Their quest is threatened by Queen Beryl of the Dark Kingdom, who seeks the Silver Crystal’s power for herself. Alongside balancing school, family responsibilities, and romantic concerns, Sailor Moon and her fellow Guardians confront these threats to protect the world.
