Synopsis

Centuries earlier, Camaron Palace was saved from ruin when Sir Aaron, known as the True Guardian of Aura, gave his life to prevent a war. Each year a tournament honors that sacrifice. A novice trainer from Kanto named Satoshi wins the latest contest and receives a staff linked to Sir Aaron. Lucario, an Aura Pokémon who once served the True Guardian, appears from the staff but flees, haunted by memories of abandonment. At the same time Satoshi’s partner, Pikachu, is taken by Mew to the fabled Tree of Beginning. Only Lucario knows the path, yet his distrust of humans makes him reluctant to help. Determined to retrieve Pikachu, Satoshi and his allies must persuade Lucario and journey to the Tree, uncovering long-hidden truths tied to the past along the way.
