Synopsis

Set in 2075 when routine space travel and lunar settlements are realities, this story follows Ai Tanabe, an optimistic woman drawn to outer space who takes a position in Technora Corporation’s Debris Section. Tasked with clearing hazardous orbital refuse between Earth and the Moon, she quickly learns her team’s work is undervalued: the division is small, underfunded, and mocked within the company, and its crews operate a battered craft known as the Toy Box. Despite these conditions, Ai remains determined and slowly connects with her coworkers, including the clumsy yet kind chief clerk Philippe Myers; Edelgard Rivera, a reserved temporary staffer with a guarded demeanor; and Hachirouta Hoshino, a fiery young technician dreaming of owning a proper spaceship. The series uses the immensity of space as a setting to explore the everyday struggles, relationships, and aspirations of ordinary people whose lives are centered on orbital maintenance rather than grand heroics.
